Coming in the Father’s Name: What Yeshua Meant (John 5:43 Explained)

Yeshua walking in a hooded robe with staff, his face partially hidden, with a larger radiant figure behind him symbolizing the Father’s authority.

One of the great mysteries revealed during Yeshua’s first coming is this: the Yahweh of the Scriptures—the One we read about speaking with and appearing to the Hebrews and the prophets—was Yeshua, coming in His Father’s name.

This does not mean that Yeshua and the Father are the same being. Scripture shows a clear distinction and order between Yahweh and Yeshua. Rather, Yeshua acts in the authority of His Father, fully representing Him.

We are first introduced to this reality in John’s writings:

No one has ever seen Elohim. All came to be through Him, The only brought-forth Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He did declare.” (John 1:18)

“And the Father who sent Me, He has borne witness of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form.” (John 5:37)
Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from Elohim. He has seen the Father.” (John 6:46)

These passages present an important dilemma: throughout the Older Testament, we repeatedly read of Yahweh appearing and speaking directly with people.

For example, at Mount Sinai:

“Then Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up. They saw the Elohim of Israel. Under his feet was like a paved work of sapphire stone, like the skies for clearness. He didn’t lay his hand on the nobles of the children of Israel. They saw Elohim, and ate and drank.”  (Exodus 24:9-11)

Yet later, in Acts, we are given further insight:

“This is that Moses who said to the children of Israel, ‘Yahweh our Elohim will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me.’ This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the Messenger that spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received living revelations to give to us,” (Acts 7:37-38)

The Messianic writings are not equating Yeshua with the Father. Rather, they reveal that Yeshua is the Messenger of Yahweh—the One through whom Yahweh interacts with humanity.

Think of it like a royal envoy sent in the name of a king. Though not the king himself, he carries the king’s authority and speaks on his behalf. In the same way, Yeshua comes in His Father’s name:

I have come in my Father’s name, and you don’t receive me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive him.” (John 5:43)

The Messenger in the Burning Bush

Another clear example is the burning bush:

Yahweh’s Messenger appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the middle of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.” (Exodus 3:2)

 Stephen later clarifies:

“This Moses whom they refused, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge?’—Elohim has sent him as both a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the Messenger who appeared to him in the bush.” (Acts 7:35)

Once again, we see Yahweh working through His Messenger—His visible representative.

Abraham and Yahweh

Another powerful encounter is found with Abraham:

Yahweh appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day. He lifted up his eyes and looked, and saw that three men stood near him. When he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself to the earth,” (Genesis 18:1-2)

Abraham speaks with Yahweh, eats with Him, and walks with Him. Yet we are told that no one has seen the Father.

How do we reconcile this?

By considering the fullness of Scripture. Yahweh conceals matters, but it is the honor of kings to search them out. Yeshua Himself gives us the answer:

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day. He saw it and was glad.” The Judeans therefore said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old! Have you seen Abraham?” Yeshua said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I am.” (John 8:56-58)

 Before Time

Yeshua did not begin at His birth through Mary. He existed before the world began and has always been active in carrying out the will of the Father.

“I glorified you on the earth. I have accomplished the work which you have given me to do. Now, Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world existed.” (John 17:4-5)

The Name of Yahweh in Him

To fully understand what it means that Yeshua came in His Father’s name, we must look to the Torah itself, where this concept is first introduced.
“See, I am sending a Messenger before you to guard you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. Be on guard before Him and obey His voice. Do not rebel against Him, for He is not going to pardon your transgression, for My Name is in HimBut if you diligently obey His voice and shall do all that I speak, then I shall be an enemy to your enemies and a distresser to those who distress you.” (Exodus 23:20–21)
This passage is profound. Yahweh speaks of a Messenger who carries His very Name. This is not merely a title—it represents His authority, character, and presence. To obey this Messenger is to obey Yahweh Himself.

This helps us understand Yeshua’s words:
“I have come in My Father’s name…” (John 5:43)

For I spoke not from myselfbut the Father who sent me gave me a commandmentwhat I should say and what I should speak.” (John 12:49)

Yeshua is not coming on His own authority, but fully representing the Father—bearing His Name in the fullest sense.

The prophets echo this same idea:
“He shall stand and shepherd in the strength of Yahweh, in the majesty of the Name of Yahweh His Elohim…” (Micah 5:4)
The coming Messiah would operate in the power and authority of Yahweh’s Name. This is the language of divine agency—where one is sent as a perfect representative, fully carrying out the will of the one who sent him.

This concept brings clarity to everything we have seen: when Yahweh is described as appearing, speaking, and interacting with His people, it is through the One who bears His Name—His Messenger, His emissary, Yeshua.

 One Elohim, One Mediator

Scripture consistently shows that Yahweh is set apart beyond human approach:

“Yahweh said to Moses, “Tell Aaron your brother not to come at just any time into the Holiest Place behind the curtain —before the atonement cover which is on the Ark—so that he would not die. For I will be appearing in the cloud over the atonement cover.” (Leviticus 16:2)

If even His presence in the Most Holy Place could bring death, how then did men speak with Him face to face?

The answer is consistent throughout Scripture: it was through Yeshua.

“Yeshua the Messiah is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)

“For there is one Elohim and one mediator between Elohim and men, the man Messiah Yeshua,” (1 Timothy 2:5)

Yeshua has always been that mediator.

He walked with Adam and Eve in the garden, spoke to Noah, called Abraham, wrestled with Jacob, and spoke to Moses. Throughout all generations, He has been the emissary of Yahweh—carrying out His will and revealing Him to humanity.

Go Deeper: Continue the Study

If this perspective is new or challenges what you’ve previously understood, I encourage you to explore these related teachings. Each one builds on the foundation of Yahweh’s covenant and the role of Yeshua within it.

Pray over these things, test them in the Scriptures, and seek Yahweh’s wisdom as you continue.

Are the Danes Descended from the Tribe of Dan?

The Danes and the Tribe of Dan: A Lost Connection?

One of the enduring mysteries of biblical history is the fate of the “lost ten tribes of Israel,” who were carried into exile by the Assyrian Empire in 722 BCE. The prophets declared that although Israel would be scattered, they would not be forgotten:

“Yet the number of the children of Yisra’ĕl shall be as the sand of the sea, which is not measured nor counted. And it shall be in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’ they shall be called, ‘You are the sons of the living Ěl.’” (Hosea 1:10)

Among these tribes was Dan, whose name means “Judge” in Hebrew. The tribe was associated with justice, judgment, and the scales of law. One of its most famous members was Samson, the mighty deliverer of Israel. But Dan was also unique in another respect: it was a coastal tribe with a strong tradition of seafaring.

“Gil‛aḏ remained beyond the Yardĕn, and why did Dan remain on ships? Ashĕr continued at the seashore, and remained by its landing places.” (Judges 5:17)

This nautical characteristic may provide a key clue to the tribe’s later migrations.

Tribal Traits: The Serpent’s Trail

When Jacob blessed his sons, he spoke of Dan in unusual terms:

“Dan rightly rules his people as one of the tribes of Yisra’ĕl. Dan is a serpent by the way, an adder by the path, that bites the horse’s heels so that its rider falls backward. I have waited for your deliverance, O יהוה!” (Genesis 49:16–18)

Some interpreters see in this imagery the idea of Dan leaving a “trail” wherever they went, much like a serpent leaves its track in the dust. Indeed, throughout Scripture, we see Dan renaming conquered places after their forefather:

“They called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born to Yisra’ĕl.” (Judges 18:29; Joshua 19:47)
“They encamped in Qiryath Ye‛arim… therefore they call that place Maḥanĕh Ḏan to this day.” (Judges 18:12)

If this was their habit in the land of Israel, might they not have done the same wherever they traveled in exile? This may explain the curious prevalence of “Dan” in the names of major rivers in Europe: the Danube, Dniester, Dnieper, Don, and Donets.

Dan and the Sea Peoples

Being a seafaring tribe, Dan likely interacted with the Phoenicians, the great maritime traders of the ancient world. Archaeology shows that the Phoenicians ventured as far as the British Isles to obtain tin from Cornwall. Herodotus, the Greek historian, wrote:

“The Cassiterides, from which tin comes to us, lie in the sea beyond the Pillars of Heracles.” (Histories, 3.115)

If the Phoenicians knew the British Isles, could Dan have journeyed with them? Such voyages may explain the echoes of Dan found in Celtic and Scandinavian traditions.

The Tuatha Dé Danann

Irish legend tells of the Tuatha Dé Danann, a mysterious people who arrived in Ireland by sea. They brought treasures, advanced knowledge, and the role of law-givers to the early Irish. They were remembered as supernatural culture-bringers.

Some researchers propose that the Tuatha Dé Danann were in fact the Tribe of Dan remembered through myth. The name itself is telling: “Danann” may share the same root as Dan, suggesting “the people of Dan.”

Among their treasures was the Stone of Scone (or Stone of Destiny), later used in the coronation of Scottish and British monarchs. Some even claim it was Jacob’s pillow stone, upon which he dreamed of angels ascending and descending.

"And he came upon a place and stopped over for the night, for the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep. And he dreamed and saw a ladder set up on the earth, and its top reached to the heavens, and saw messengers of Elohim going up and coming down on it." (Genesis 28:11-12)

Denmark: The Land of the Danes

The most direct link may be Denmark itself, whose name literally means “the borderland of the Danes.” According to tradition, it was named after a legendary King Dan. The resonance with the biblical tribe of Dan is hard to overlook.

If Dan left their mark on rivers, regions, and legends across Europe, could Denmark represent one of their final destinations?

Conclusion: Scattered Yet Not Lost

The Scriptures remind us that although the tribes were scattered, they would one day be remembered and restored. The possible connection between the Danes of northern Europe and the Tribe of Dan illustrates how prophecy, history, and folklore may intertwine.

Whether through rivers named Dan, Irish legends of the Tuatha Dé Danann, or the very name of Denmark, the serpent’s trail of Dan may still be winding through history — waiting for the day when all Israel is gathered once again.

Speaking as One: The Prophetic Return to the Language of Yah

Open book with glowing pages emits a bright, circular energy in a cosmic setting, with silhouettes of buildings in the background. Mystical mood.

Have you ever wondered what language Yah speaks? Or what language the angels in heaven might use to communicate among themselves or with their Elohim? Some might suggest that El Shaddai speaks an unknown divine tongue or even all languages simultaneously. Certainly, He can understand and speak in any language, as can the angels if they choose. But this still leaves a fundamental question: what language did He use when He spoke creation into existence?

“And Elohim said, “Let light come to be,” and light came to be.” (Genesis 1:3)

Contemplate this statement long enough, and you may find the answer — the only logical conclusion that emerges.

The Language of Creation

“And I opened his mouth, and his ears and his lips, and I began to speak with him in Hebrew in the tongue of the creation.” (Jubilees 12:26)

The original language — the language of creation and our Creator — is Hebrew. This divine tongue was passed down to Adam and Eve and remained the language of all nations until the time of the Tower of Babel.

“Yah said, “Behold, they are one people, and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do. Now nothing will be withheld from them, which they intend to do. Come, let’s go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” (Genesis 11:6-7)

After the dispersion at the Tower of Babel, a multitude of languages emerged as people scattered across the world. Yet, Hebrew was preserved on earth, safeguarded through Abraham and passed down to his descendants, Isaac and Jacob.

“And Yah Elohim said: 'Open his mouth and his ears, that he may hear and speak with his mouth, with the language which has been revealed'; for it had ceased from the mouths of all the children of men from the day of the overthrow of Babel. And I opened his mouth, and his ears and his lips, and I began to speak with him in Hebrew in the tongue of the creation. And he took the books of his fathers, and these were written in Hebrew, and he transcribed them, and he began from henceforth to study them, and I made known to him that which he could not understand, and he studied them during the six rainy months.”  (Jubilees 12:25-27)

The Return of a Pure Language

In the resurrection, we will speak Hebrew, just as was prophesied long ago.

“And after these things shall Abraham and Isaac and Jacob arise unto life, and I and my brethren shall be chiefs of the tribes of Israel: Levi first, I the second, Joseph third, Benjamin fourth, Simeon fifth; Issachar sixth, and so all in order. And Yah blessed Levi, and the Angel of the Presence, me; the powers of glory, Simeon; the heaven, Reuben; the earth, Issachar; the sea, Zebulun; the mountains, Joseph; the tabernacle, Benjamin; the luminaries, Dan; Eden, Naphtali; the sun, Gad; the moon, Asher. And ye shall be the people of Yah, and have one tongue.” (Testament of Judah 25:1-3)

“For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, That they all may call on the name of Yah, to serve Him with one accord.” (Zephaniah 3:9)

Conclusion

While this revelation may not surprise those well-versed in Scripture, it invites us to reflect on the beauty and power of the Hebrew language — the tongue of our forefathers, our Messiah, and the one true Elohim. Though we may not all speak Hebrew now, or speak it well, I have no doubt that when we enter the Kingdom, the Father will open our mouths and ears so that we may hear and speak together with one (echad) tongue.

The Sign of Jonah: A Deeper Understanding

Two people stand on rocks gesturing at a huge whale emerging from waves. Birds circle above; the scene is monochromatic and dramatic.

The story of Jonah and the whale is one of the most iconic narratives in the Bible, often shared with both children and adults. Many of us are acquainted with the account: Jonah, a prophet, disobeys Elohim's command to go to Nineveh, is swallowed by a giant fish, and spends three days and three nights in its belly before being vomited out alive. However, what if there’s more to this story? What if Jonah's time in the belly of the fish wasn’t spent alive, but rather, as a dead man? This perspective could bring new insight into the comparison Yeshua makes in Matthew 12:38-41, offering a profound connection between Jonah's experience and Yeshua's own death and resurrection.

The Sign of Jonah: Yeshua's Prophecy

“Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered, “Rabbi, we want to see a sign from you.” But he answered them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, but no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the huge fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment with this generation and will condemn it, for they repented at the proclaiming of Jonah; and behold, someone greater than Jonah is here.” (Matthew 12:38-41)

When the scribes and Pharisees asked Yeshua for a sign to prove His divine authority, Yeshua responds by referring to "the sign of Jonah," stating, "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the huge fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." Yeshua's reference to the "heart of the earth" is widely understood as a reference to Sheol, the abode of the dead. This implies that, like Yeshua, Jonah may have experienced death during his time in the fish, only to be resurrected by Elohim.

Jonah's Journey: Death and Resurrection

The Book of Jonah provides clues that support the notion of Jonah’s death and subsequent resurrection. Jonah 1:17 tells us that Yah prepared a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and that Jonah was in the belly of the fish for three days and three nights.

“Yah prepared a huge fish to swallow up Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.” (Jonah 1:17)

However, Jonah's prayer in chapter 2 offers a deeper insight into his experience. Jonah describes his descent into the depths, surrounded by water and seaweed, barred in by the earth, and finally, crying out from the "belly of Sheol." This language suggests that Jonah wasn't just alive and praying in the fish's belly but had actually died and was in Sheol, the realm of the dead.

“Then Jonah prayed to Yah, his Elohim, out of the fish’s belly. He said, “I called because of my affliction to Yah. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried. You heard my voice. For you threw me into the depths, in the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your waves and your billows passed over me. I said, ‘I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.’ The waters surrounded me, even to the soul. The deep was around me. The weeds were wrapped around my head. I went down to the bottoms of the mountains. The earth barred me in forever; yet you have brought my life up from the pit, Yah my Elohim. “When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Yah. My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple. Those who regard vain idols forsake their own mercy. But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving. I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation belongs to Yah.” Then Yah spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land.” (Jonah 2:1-10)

The prayer itself is written in past tense, indicating that Jonah’s cry from Sheol occurred after his death. Jonah describes being cast into the deep, his life ebbing away, and then being brought back to life by Yah. It is only after this resurrection that Jonah prays to Elohim, recognizing his deliverance from Sheol and offering thanksgiving. The time gap between Jonah 1:17 and the beginning of his prayer in Jonah 2:1 seems to correspond with the three days and nights Jonah spends in Sheol, paralleling Yeshua's own time in the grave.

The Sign of Jonah: A Prophetic Parallel

Understanding Jonah's ordeal as one of death and resurrection brings insightful depth to Yeshua’s words in Matthew 12. The parallels between Jonah and Yeshua become clear:

  • Both Were Dead for Three Days and Nights: Jonah's experience in the fish and Yeshua’s time in the tomb both lasted for three days and nights.
  • Both Went to Sheol: Jonah describes his soul crying out from Sheol, and Yeshua descended to the heart of the earth, often interpreted as His descent into Sheol.
  • Both Had Their Bodies Preserved: Jonah’s body was preserved within the fish, while Yeshua’s body lay in the tomb.
  • Both Were Resurrected: Jonah was brought back to life and vomited onto dry land, and Yeshua was resurrected from the dead.

Conclusion: Power Over Death

The story of Jonah is more than just a tale of disobedience and redemption; it is a foreshadowing of Yeshua’s own death and resurrection. By re-examining the details of Jonah’s experience, we gain a greater understanding of the sign that Yeshua pointed to—the sign of Jonah. This sign serves as a staunch reminder of the transformative power of resurrection, both for Jonah, who was brought back from Sheol, and for the whole House of Israel through Yeshua’s victory over death. The sign of Jonah is a testament to Elohim’s power to bring life from death, a theme that resonates through the ages and continues to offer hope to us all.

Unveiling the Reality Behind Mythological Deities: A Revelation of Ancient Truths

Angels in ethereal sky, one with fire, one with ice. They reach toward each other amidst swirling clouds, creating a dramatic, celestial scene.

Across diverse cultures, tales of gods, monsters, and heroes have woven intricate narratives, collectively known as mythology. Often dismissed as mere folklore, these stories offer glimpses into realms beyond our comprehension. What if, however, these myths were not solely products of imagination? While I do not assert the existence of other gods as traditionally conceived, in this article, I propose an intriguing possibility: that the ancient gods of mythology are, in reality, the fallen angels as depicted in the ancient text of 1 Enoch.

The Fallen Ones

“It happened after the sons of men had multiplied in those days, that daughters were born to them, elegant and beautiful. And when the angels, the sons of heaven, beheld them, they became enamoured of them, saying to each other, Come, let us select for ourselves wives from the progeny of men, and let us beget children. Then their leader Samyaza said to them; I fear that you may perhaps be indisposed to the performance of this enterprise; And that I alone shall suffer for so grievous a crime. But they answered him and said; We all swear; And bind ourselves by mutual execrations, that we will not change our intention, but execute our projected undertaking. Then they swore all together, and all bound themselves by mutual execrations. Their whole number was two hundred, who descended upon Ardis, which is the top of Mount Armon. That mountain, therefore, was called Armon, because they had sworn upon it, and bound themselves by mutual execrations.” (1 Enoch 7:1-8)

Angels, being immortal and not requiring procreation for the perpetuation of their kind, do not need wives. This notion is even referenced by our Messiah.

“In the resurrection then, when they rise, whose wife shall she be? For seven had her as wife. And יהושע answering, said to them, “Is this not why you go astray, because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of Elohim? “For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as messengers in the heavens.” (Mark 12:23-25)

Notice also how Yeshua remarks that they do not comprehend the scriptures, yet the sole mention of angels in relation to marriage or sexual matters is found exclusively in the book of 1 Enoch. This serves as further indication of 1 Enoch's scriptural significance. Returning to the angels who abandoned their celestial abodes for mortal women, we observe a striking parallel with the deities of mythology. These entities seek to intermingle with humanity, driven often by base desires such as lust. This mirrors the account of the angels who prioritized progeny and physical relationships above all else.

The True Names of the Gods of Mythology

“These are the names of their chiefs: Samyaza, who was their leader, Urakabarameel, Akibeel, Tamiel, Ramuel, Danel, Azkeel, Saraknyal, Asael, Armers, Batraal, Anane, Zavebe, Samsaveel, Ertael, Turel, Yomyael, Arazyal. These were the prefects of the two hundred angels, and the remainder were all with them.” (1 Enoch 7:7-9)

After the dispersion of people from the Tower of Babel, each culture inevitably modified the names and attributes of the fallen angels who once held sway over their ancestors. Hence, every mythology features a deity associated with the sun or craftsmanship. These figures represent the same entities, albeit reshaped by linguistic confusion and the passage of time. As we shall explore, the dominion of the Fallen Ones came to an end with the Great Flood. Nonetheless, the memory of these formidable beings endured beyond the deluge, with their lineage persisting through lesser giants even after the cataclysmic event.

“But the angels transgressed this appointment, and were captivated by love of women, and begat children, who are those that are called demons, and besides, they afterwards subdued the human race to themselves, partly by magical writings, and partly by fears and the punishments they occasioned, and partly by teaching them to offer sacrifices, and incense and libations, of which things they stood in need after they were enslaved by lustful passions; and among men they sowed murders, wars, adulteries, intemperate deeds, and all wickedness. Whence also the poets and mythologists, not knowing that it was the angels and those demons who had been begotten by them that did these things to men, and women, and cities, and nations, which they related, ascribed them to God Himself [i.e. Jupiter), and to those who were accounted to be His very offspring, and to the offspring of those who were called His brothers, Neptune and Pluto, and to the children again of these their offspring. For whatever name each of the angels had given to himself and his children, by that name they called them.” (Writings of Justin Martyr and Athenagoras. Transl. Clark's AnteNic. Lib. Vol. ii., PP- 75, 76)

Knowledge

“Then they took wives, each choosing for himself; whom they began to approach, and with whom they cohabited; teaching them sorcery, incantations, and the dividing of roots and trees.” (1 Enoch 7:10)

“Moreover, Azazyel taught men to make swords, knives, shields, breastplates, the fabrication of mirrors, and the workmanship of bracelets and ornaments, the use of paint, the beautifying of the eyebrows, the use of stones of every valuable and select kind, and of all sorts of dyes, so that the world became altered. Impiety increased; fornication multiplied; and they transgressed and corrupted all their ways. Amazarak taught all the sorcerers, and dividers of roots: Armers taught the solution of sorcery; Barkayal taught the observers of the stars; Akibeel taught signs; Tamiel taught astronomy; And Asaradel taught the motion of the moon.” (1 Enoch 8:1-8)

The fallen angels imparted knowledge to our ancestors, much like the gods of mythology did with humans. It represents a parallel event, reshaped and recounted to suit the cultural context of the dispersed populations following the collapse of Babel.

Giants, the Offspring of Angels

“And the women conceiving brought forth giants…” (1 Enoch 7:11)

This verse is collaborated with Genesis and Flavius Josephus, a Jewish historian from the first century.

“And it came to be, when men began to increase on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of Elohim saw the daughters of men, that they were good. And they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. And יהוה said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever in his going astray. He is flesh, and his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of Elohim came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, the men of name.” (Genesis 6:1-4)

“For many Angels of God accompanied with women, and begat sons that proved unjust, and despisers of all that was good; on account of the confidence, they had in their own strength. For the tradition is, that these men did what resembled the acts of those whom the Grecians call Giants.” (Flavius Josephus Chapter 3 Section 1.)

The union of angels and humans results in the creation of giants, a race characterized not only by physical stature but also by a formidable presence in the spiritual realm—an inheritance from their celestial progenitors. I will explore this phenomenon further in my upcoming article, but the key takeaway here is that giants emerged from such unions. This parallels the concept of demigods and giants, offspring of unions between gods and mortals in mythology. Likewise, the giants who once roamed the earth were depicted as equally—if not more—malicious than their mythical counterparts.

“…These devoured all the labor of men; until it became impossible to feed them; When they turned themselves against men, in order to devour them.” (1 Enoch 7:12-13)

“And men, being destroyed, cried out; and their voice reached to heaven.” (1 Enoch 8:9)

It was a harrowing era to inhabit. Fallen angels wielded dominion with little regard for humanity, permitting their offspring, the giants, to prey upon the vulnerable without restraint. They provided no shelter, no guidance, and showed no inclination to intervene. Driven by their aspirations to ascend to godhood, these fallen beings reveled in their creative pursuits, basking in self-appointed divinity for a fleeting moment in time.

An Apocalyptic War

Mythologies often recount tales of an ancient conflict that shook the very fabric of creation. While the identities of the opposing factions may vary, the epic scale of the battle endures. In reality, this war did occur, but it wasn't a clash between gods or giants; rather, it was a conflict between righteous angels and their fallen counterparts, alongside their giant offspring.

“Say to him in my name; hide yourself! And reveal to him the end, which is coming, because the whole earth will be destroyed. A deluge is about to come on all the earth; and all that is in it will be destroyed.  And now teach him so that he may escape and his offspring may survive for the whole Earth.” And further Yah said to Raphael: “Bind Azazel by his hands and his feet and throw him into the darkness. And split open the desert, which is in Dudael, and throw him there. And throw on him jagged and sharp stones and cover him with darkness. And let him stay there forever. And cover his face so that he may not see the light. And so that, on the Great Day of Judgment, he may be hurled into the fire. And restore the Earth which the Angels have ruined. And announce the restoration of the Earth. For I shall restore the Earth so that not all the sons of men shall be destroyed because of the knowledge which the Watchers made known and taught to their sons. And the whole Earth has been ruined by the teaching of the works of Azazel; and against him write: ALL SIN.” And Yah said to Gabriel: “Proceed against the bastards, and the reprobates, and against the sons of the fornicators. And destroy the sons of the fornicators, and the sons of the Watchers, from amongst men. And send them out, and send them against one another, and let them destroy themselves in battle; for they will not have length of days…. And the Yah said to Michael: “Go, inform Semyaza, and the others with him, who have associated with the women to corrupt themselves with them in all their uncleanness. When all their sons kill each other, and when they see the destruction of their loved ones, bind them for seventy generations, under the hills of the earth, until the day of their judgment and of their consummation, until the judgment, which is for all eternity, is accomplished. And in those days, they will lead them to the Abyss of Fire; in torment, and in prison they will be shut up for all eternity.” (1 Enoch 10:2-13)

Before the deluge, a formidable conflict unfolded, one that water alone could not quell. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, El Shaddai dispatched his archangels—Raphael, Gabriel, and Michael—to combat the giants and bind the fallen ones in chains of darkness, awaiting the day of judgment. This act of imprisonment is also referenced in the book of Jude.

“And the messengers who did not keep their own principality, but left their own dwelling, He has kept in everlasting shackles under darkness for the judgment of the great day.” (Jude 1:6)

Conclusion

“At the same time, it is very evident that, in many of the legends, not only of the Greek, but of the Hindu and other mythologies, the Gentile nations have embodied their remembrances of events, the true record of which is found in the Mosaic Scriptures.” (Rev. John Fleming, A.B., The Fallen Angels and the Heroes of Mythology, pg.9)

The tales passed down through ancient mythologies are often dismissed as mere products of primitive imagination, a narrative subtly propagated to undermine the ingenuity of our forebears. Yet, a closer examination reveals a reality far removed from such patronizing assumptions. Our ancestors were not mere simpletons cowering at thunder; their accomplishments, evident in the monumental structures they erected and the extensive voyages they undertook without modern aids like GPS, attest to their sophistication. They inhabited a world beyond our comprehension—one ruled by fallen angels and where giants roamed, consuming the flesh of men. Let us offer praise to the Almighty, Yah, for sending his celestial host to liberate humanity from such oppression.

Uncovering St. Patrick's True Identity: A Hebrew and Torah-Observant Man in Ireland

A bearded man in a white suit and hat with leaves stands in front of a scenic valley with a winding river, under swirling clouds.

Once again, my studies have brought me to the British Isles (a geographical term which does not imply that Ireland belongs to Great Britain). My first foray into the Isles was documented in my article "Wales and the Lost Tribes of Israel," and as it happens, Maewyn, Patrick's birth name, has Welsh origins.

Now, my research has taken me to the Emerald Island, where I have discovered a recurring pattern throughout history: the manipulation of a person's true identity to fit a specific narrative. This phenomenon occurred with Yeshua and Paul and how they are presented in the Christian Church.

In this case, I am delving into the records to uncover the true person behind St. Patrick. Contrary to popular belief, the celebrated saint was not Catholic but was, in fact, born a Hebrew. His family likely settled in the British Isles following the siege of Jerusalem.

“The learned declare that he was of the Jews by origin, since it is manifest from the miracles which God wrought for him, that he was of the children of Israel, for of them were the Jews besides. For when the vengeance was inflicted by Titus and Vespasian, the Jews were scattered throughout the world, and Patrick’s original kindred came to Britain…” (Lives of Saints from the Book of Lismore. United States, AMS Press, 1890. pg. 150)

“Patrick may have been descended from the Sons of Israel. When the Sons of Israel were banished by Titus and Vespasian into slavery to the four corners of the world in revenge for the blood of Christ, his ancestors came to Britain.” (Book Of Leinster, 1160.)

“The links must account for the Hebrew quality of Irish monasticism, for modern Jewish authorities affirm that the remaining remnants of the Samaritan sect represent the purest form of the ancient Hebrew stock. The Samaritans were part of the northern tribes of Israel and their capital, Shechem was destroyed by Vespasian in 70 A.D. Since St. Patrick is said to be the descendant of an Israelite family who were scattered by Vespasian and Titus “in bondage throughout the four quarters of the world” and who came to Britain, it is possible that Patrick himself was of Samaritan ancestry.” (Boswell, Winthrop Palmer. The Roots of Irish Monasticism. United States, San Francisco State College., 1969. pg. 64-65)

Before moving on, there are three important points to note from the quotes mentioned. Firstly, it is worth considering why some Jews who fled Judea ended up in the British Isles. It is unlikely that they simply closed their eyes and pointed to a spot on the map. In my previous article, "Wales and the Lost Tribes of Israel," I argued that some of the northern tribes, specifically the House of Israel, may have found their way to the British Isles after being divorced and kicked out of their land.

Secondly, in the Book of Leinster, it is suggested that the Jewish people were exiled from Israel for killing Yeshua. While true in a sense, it was Rome that had killed Yeshua, and it's also important to remember that thousands of Jewish people were among his followers, and he himself was Jewish, as were his disciples. The writer of the Book of Leinster seems to be pushing a narrative that suggests the Jews (specifically, those of the House of Judah) are completely against the Messiah.

Thirdly, in "The Roots of Irish Monasticism," the author suggests that Maewyn may have been from Samaria, a region whose inhabitants are said to be descendants of the northern tribes that were not exiled from Israel after Assyria's conquest. This would make Maewyn a Hebrew by blood but not a Jew. For more information, please refer to my article "Israel and Judah".

Ireland and the Torah

Continuing with The Roots of Irish Monasticism, the author goes on to say,

“Israelitish features in Irish monasticism include the use of an Eastern type liturgy visible in the Antiphonary if Bangor, the festal observance of Saturday in the same manner as the Jews, evidence for a Pharisaic observance of Sunday, the prominence of Hebrew features in Irish canon law collections (including Biblical Cities of Refuge and Jubilee Years), together with Mosaic prohibitions on diet, and injunctions on tithes likewise Hebraic in inspiration. There was also a Hebrew treatment of the sanctuary as already noted in the case of St. Columbanus, and finally there were numerous Hebrew words occurring in cryptographic monastic Irish works such as Hisperica Famina.” (Boswell, Winthrop Palmer. The Roots of Irish Monasticism. United States, San Francisco State College., 1969. pg. 64-65)

Historians have pointed out the similarities between the Celtic/Gaelic and Hebrew languages over the years. In Acts chapter 29, we find a possible explanation for this phenomenon. It is suggested that the Celts, to some degree, retained their ancient ways of keeping Torah.

Maewyn is credited with bringing the truth of Yeshua and Torah to Ireland. However, this was only after he had spent six years there as a slave. After regaining his freedom, he returned to Ireland and shared the powerful and life-changing message of Elohim. This is why there are so many references to Ireland and the Celts in general doing things in a Hebrew manner.

“The Celts used a Latin Bible unlike the Vulgate, and kept Saturday as a day of rest, with special religious services on Sunday.” The Rise of the Mediaeval Church and Its Influence on the Civilization of Western Europe from the First to the Thirteenth Century. United States, B. Franklin, Flick, Alexander Clarence. 1909. pg. 237)

“It seems to have been customary in the Celtic churches of early times, in Ireland as well as Scotland, to keep Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath, as a day of rest from labor, and Sunday, commemorative of the Lord’s resurrection, as one of rejoicing, with exercises of public worship. In that case they obeyed the fourth commandment literally upon the seventh day of the week—the day on which the Lord lay in the grave—and did not understand the precept about resting from labor to apply to the day of rejoicing over his resurrection.” The Church in Scotland: A History of Its Antecedents, it Conflicts, and Its Advocates, from the Earliest Recorded Times to the First Assembly of the Reformed Church. United States, Presbyterian Board of Education, Moffat, James Clement. 1882. pg.140)

To correct a common misconception, the Sabbath is not Jewish; it belongs to Yah. However, it is not surprising that many historians and academics refer to anything Hebrew as Jewish, even in the case of Abraham, who was born before the existence of the tribe of Judah.

“A central feature [of the Celtic churches] was the profound respect for the authority of the Scripture, and a strong emphasis on the legal aspects of the Old Testament. The Liber ex Lege Moisi survives in four manuscripts of Irish origin, dating from c. 800 (Hardinge 1972, 50). It consists of a series of texts of Old Testament law, covering a variety of topics and situations. The work expresses an unstated assumption that Old Testament law was a prime directive for the proper conduct of everyday life. Hardinge cites a series of parallels between Celtic Christian practices and those of the Old Testament, in which the Celtic is a much closer variant of the original than anything surviving in the other branches of Christianity. The shared elements include the keeping of the Saturday Sabbath, tithing, the definition of “first fruits” and offerings, the establishment of walled precincts for the priestly/monastic families, inheritance of religious office, and fasting and dietary restrictions.” (St Joseph in Britain: Reconsidering the Legends. Part 2. Deborah K. E. Crawford. Folklore, vol. 105, 1994, pp. 51–59. JSTOR, www.jstor.org/stable/1260629)

Maewyn and his disciple Columba were known for teaching the entire Bible, not just the small portion found at the back of the book. This stands in stark contrast to how Christianity is often taught by modern preachers and teachers.

“Following the example Patrick, Columba and Celtic Christians for centuries made the Scriptures the foundation for their studies.” (The Celtic Church in Britain. Hardinge. pg. 30)

“…Columba was likewise credited with teaching “the books of the Law completely…” (The Celtic Church in Britain. Hardinge. pg. 50)

“…the Celtic Church began when Sabbath observance had not been relinquished by Christians at large…These traditions persisted for more than two centuries after the saint’s death.” (The Celtic Church in Britain. United Kingdom, S.P.C.K. for the Church Historical Society, Hardinge, Leslie. 1972. pg. 78)

If the historical Maeywn was a Torah-keeping follower of Yeshua, then how did Saint Patrick come about? Unfortunately, it is difficult for a person to defend themselves or speak out against false accusations once they have passed away.

“Two centuries elapsed after Patrick’s death before any writer attempted to connect Patrick’s work with a papal commission. No pope ever mentioned him, neither is there anything in the ecclesiastical records of Rome concerning him.” (Truth Triumphant: The Church in the Wilderness. United States, Hartland Publications, Wilkinson, Benjamin George. 2004. pg. 81)

The Roman Church, or Christianity, waited until Maewyn, his disciple Columba, and all those who knew him had passed away before they began to rewrite history to fit their own narrative. Regrettably, this practice has been applied to many figures throughout history, including one who is now relegated to the realm of fantasy.

Rome vs the Torah

When Constantine made Christianity the main religion of Rome, his intention was not to follow Yah as Yeshua did, but to use his own means. He merged pagan practices and festivals with Christian beliefs, such as Christmas, Easter, Halloween, and Valentine's Day.

I believe that Satan is actively working to manipulate the Roman-rooted church and erase the true history of those who followed Yeshua. This includes renaming certain groups and altering the characteristics of individuals such as Maewyn, erasing the parts of him that made him who he was.

The British Isles, perhaps because of their distance from Rome, did not immediately submit to the religious mandate. It would take centuries for Roman missionaries and monks to finally convert the Isles. However, these church officials had much to say about the region.

“The Britains are against the entire world. They are hostile toward the Roman customs, not only in the Mass, but also on their tonsure, serving with the Jews in the shadow rather than the truth.” (St. Joseph In Britain: Reconsidering The Legends, Part 2 as originally published in Folklore Vol. 105, 1994)

“If one flouts the Council of Nicaea and keeps Easter with the Jews on the fourteenth of the moon, he shall be driven out of every church unless he does penance before his death.” (Medieval Handbooks of Penance: A Translation of the Principal "libri Poenitentiales" and Selections from Related Documents. United States, Columbia University Press, McNeill, John Thomas, and Gamer, Helena Margaret. 1938. pg. 188)

Maewyn’s Supposed Confessio

This letter has been attributed to Maewyn himself, but upon closer examination and taking a holistic approach to analyzing the document, it can only be concluded that this letter was not written by Maewyn and was most likely used by the Catholic Church to push their agenda. The Church wanted to turn him into a Catholic saint and used the letter to show that he had no issue with eating pork, a well-known method used by the Inquisition in identifying Jews. In the letter, Saint Patrick details being on a long journey with a group of companions who were on the brink of starvation when their prayers were answered by a herd of pigs.

“And with God's help this came to pass; and behold, a herd of swine appeared on the road before our eyes, and they slew many of them, and remained there for two nights, and the were full of their meat and well restored, for many of them had fainted and would otherwise have been left half dead by the wayside.” (Confessio, attributed to Saint Patrick of Ireland.)

Now that we have gathered evidence showing that the Celtic people, including Maewyn, were Torah observant to some degree, we can see how this is problematic. Moreover, the church of Ireland, which Maewyn is credited with founding, followed many of the Torah's teachings, including the dietary instructions.

“The rules of the Old Testament which shaped the theocracy of Israel were followed by the Celts as a natural consequence of their view of biblical authority. The role of the Liber ex Lege Moisi was paramount. The laws defining clean and unclean animals which might or might not be used as food, the methods of slaughtering animals, the advice on hygiene applying to both men and women, the Levirite marriage, the precepts modifying usury and slavery, the treatment of widows and orphans, as well as the payment of tithes and the offerings of first fruits, all were thought necessary.” (The Celtic Church in Britain. Hardinge. pg. 202)

Conclusion

Maewyn Succat was a man whose true attributes have been forgotten by many. His morals have been erased and reformatted to fit an agenda. Rather than being recognized as someone who brought the Torah and the message of Yeshua to Ireland, he is falsely remembered as the one who brought Catholicism to the Celts, his memory reduced to nothing more than a drinking holiday celebrated with green beer.

I hope you have enjoyed this little journey, and I beseech each one of you to do your own research on the matter. May the Ruach Hakodesh lead you into all truth.
