The testing of the 613, will be a long endeavor, as far as listing them here is concerned. Personally, it did not take nearly as long, but capping off at a 10-minute read will prolong this journey. Despite the longevity, I believe this to be a crucial study for myself and all you, for how can we properly serve, honor, and love our Messiah and Elohim, without knowing His instructions?

90. Rambam has, “Do not walk outside the city boundary on the Sabbath.”

“See, because יהוה has given you the Sabbath, therefore He is giving you bread for two days on the sixth day. Let each one stay in his place, do not let anyone go out of his place on the seventh day.” (Exodus 16:29)

The context for this commandment is when the Israelites were brought out of Egypt, and while in the wilderness, were given mana which fell from heaven. There is some debate, to how this is to be applied and if that bit of instructions carried over past that specific period. For indeed, do we have examples of prophets, disciples, and the Messiah himself walking around on Sabbath. I may have stated this in the first entry of the series, but part of the process for testing the 613, was to determine who the commandment was given to, the scope of the commandment, and the intent. Some are under the impression that this commandment, in light of the examples we have in scripture of Set-Apart ones traversing during the Sabbath, that this commandment was only instituted for the explicit period of time when the Israelites were in the wilderness. This does not mean it has been abolished, but that some components of an overarching commandment, in this case honoring the Sabbath day, are conditional if not singular in nature. For example, on Passover, the Israelites only smeared blood over their doorpost once, and that was during the first Passover. The other interpretation I’ve come across, is that the deeper meaning of the verse is that we should not leave our homes to go work or, in common time, buy food on Sabbath. If this be the proper understanding of the verse, we can easily see how it fits with the rest of Scripture. To me, both explanations could be correct, and the texts prior to the verse in question does show that the Israelites did disobey YHWH, by going to gather mana on Sabbath. This falls under love Elohim, can be fulfilled today (depending on how you interpret the verse), and I titled it in my notes as, “Do not leave your home to work or buy food on Sabbath/ When the Israelites were in the wilderness, they were not allowed to leave their homes to gather mana.”

91. Rambam has, “Sanctify the Sabbath from beginning to end.”

“Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart.” (Exodus 20:8)

The literal commandment is to remember the Sabbath and to keep it set apart (holy). We learn how we are to honor the Sabbath day from other commandments, like the one we did previous. This falls under love Elohim, can be fulfilled today, and I titled it in my notes as, “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart.”

92. Rambam has, “Rest from prohibited labor on the Sabbath.”

It is a Sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your beings. On the ninth day of the new moon at evening, from evening to evening, you observe your Sabbath.” (Leviticus 23:32)

I’m puzzled why Rambam chose Leviticus 23:32 for resting on the Sabbath, there are plenty of verse to pick from, such as Exodus 23:12 which he cited for number 87, rest on the Sabbath, but the one he chooses here is in reference to Yom Kippurim (The Day of Atonement). The literal commandment here is that we are to have a Sabbath rest on Yom Kippur, which is what I put in my notes. This falls under love Elohim, and can be fulfilled today.

93. Rambam has, “Do not do prohibited labor on the Day of Atonement.”

It is a Sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your beings. On the ninth day of the new moon at evening, from evening to evening, you observe your Sabbath.” (Leviticus 23:32)

This is a complete repeat of number 92, which is what I put in my notes.

94. Rambam has, “Afflict yourself on the Day of Atonement.”

“And this shall be for you a law forever: In the seventh new moon, on the tenth day of the new moon, you afflict your beings, and do no work, the native or the stranger who sojourns among you.” (Leviticus 16:29)

On Yum Kippur we are to afflict or humble ourselves. Many people chose to do this by fasting for the entire day of Yum Kippur, some abstain from doing activities that would be of delight, and some find ways to humble themselves before others, often by washing their feet. How ever you decide to afflict/humble your being make sure you did so after much prayer and meditation, focusing on how the Father wants you to fulfill this commandment. Just make sure it does not involve self-harm, such as self-mutilation for it is against Torah. This falls under love Elohim, can be fulfilled today, and I titled it the same in my notes.

95. Rambam has, “Do not eat or drink on the Day of Atonement.”

“For any being who is not afflicted on that same day, he shall be cut off from his people.” (Leviticus 23:29)

Actually the command here is that we should humble or afflict ourselves on Yom Kippur, and failure to do so results in being separate from the people, and by extension Elohim. It shows how important it is to YHWH for followers to observe the day as intended. With that being said, no where in scripture does the Bible state how one is to humble/afflict oneself on that day. Similar to number 89, this verse seems more of a consequence to breaking a command vs instructing us on doing or not doing something. This falls under love Elohim, you would not want to fulfill this particular verse today, and I titled it in my notes as, “Not humbling/afflicting yourself during Yom Kippur shall cut you off from amongst your people.”

96. Rambam has, “Rest on the first day of Passover.”

“In the first new moon, on the fourteenth day of the new moon, between the evenings, is the Pĕsaḥ (Passover) to יהוה. ‘And on the fifteenth day of this new moon is the Festival of Matzot (Unleavened Bread) to יהוה – seven days you eat unleavened bread. ‘On the first day you have a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.” (Leviticus 23:5-7)

The actually commandment listed here, is that no work may be done on the first day of unleavened bread. This falls under love Elohim, can be fulfilled today, and I titled it in my notes as, “Do not work on the first day of Matzot.”

97. Rambam has, “Do not do prohibited labor on the first day of Passover.”

This is the same as number 96.

98. Rambam has, “Rest on the seventh day of Passover.”

“And you shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה for seven days. On the seventh day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.” (Leviticus 23:8)

The literal commandment here is that on the seventh day of Matzot, no work is to be conducted, in essences a day of rest. This falls under love Elohim, can be fulfilled today, and I titled in my notes as, “Do no work on the seventh day of Matzot.”

99. Rambam has, “Do not do prohibited labor on the seventh day of Passover.”

“And you shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה for seven days. On the seventh day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.” (Leviticus 23:8)

Same as number 98.

100. Rambam has, “Rest on the Feast of Weeks.”

“And on this same day you shall proclaim a set-apart gathering for yourselves, you do no servile work on it – a law forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.” (Leviticus 23:21)

Like the first and last day of Matzot, the day of Shavuot, is also a day of rest. This falls under love Elohim, can be fulfilled today, and I titled it in my notes as, “Do no work on Shavuot.”

101. Rambam has, “Do not do prohibited labor on the Feast of Weeks”

“And on this same day you shall proclaim a set-apart gathering for yourselves, you do no servile work on it – a law forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.” (Leviticus 23:21)

Same as number 100.

102. Rambam, “Rest on the Feast of Trumpets.”

“Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl (Israel), saying, ‘In the seventh new moon, on the first day of the new moon, you have a rest, a remembrance of Teru‛ah (Trumpets).” (Leviticus 23:24)

This falls under love Elohim, can be fulfilled today, and I titled it in my notes as, “Rest on Yom Teruah.”

103. Rambam has, “Do not do prohibited labor on the Feast of Trumpets.”

“Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘In the seventh new moon, on the first day of the new moon, you have a rest, a remembrance of Teru‛ah, ‘You do no servile work, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה.’” (Leviticus 23:24-25)

This falls under love Elohim, can be fulfilled today, and I titled it in my notes as, “Do no work on Yom Teruah.”

104. Rambam has, “Rest on the Feast of Tabernacles.”

“Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl (Israel), saying, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh new moon is the Festival of Sukkot (Tabernacles) for seven days to יהוה. ‘On the first day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.” (Leviticus 23: 34-35)

On the day of Sukkot, we are to do no work, hence we should be resting. This falls under love Elohim, can be fulfilled today, and I titled it in my notes as, “Do no work on the first day Sukkot.”

105. Rambam has, “Do not do prohibited labor on the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles.”

Same as number 104.

106. Rambam has, “Rest on the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles.”

“‘For seven days you bring an offering made by fire to יהוה. On the eighth day there shall be a set-apart gathering for you, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה. It is a closing festival; you do no servile work.” (Leviticus 23: 36)

This fall under Elohim, can be fulfilled today, and I titled it in my notes as, “Do no work on the last day of Sukkot.”

107. Rambam has, “Do not do prohibited labor on the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles.”

“‘For seven days you bring an offering made by fire to יהוה. On the eighth day there shall be a set-apart gathering for you, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה. It is a closing festival; you do no servile work.” (Leviticus 23: 36)

Same as number 106.

108. Rambam has, “Do not eat leavened food on the afternoon of the 14th day of Nisan.”

Eat no leavened bread with it. For seven days you eat unleavened bread with it, bread of affliction, because you came out of the land of Mitsrayim (Egypt) in haste – so that you remember the day in which you came out of the land of Mitsrayim (Egypt), all the days of your life.” (Deuteronomy 16:3)

This commandment is actually in relation to the eating of the Passover meal, during which we are not allowed to eat leavened bread. This falls under love Elohim, this can be fulfilled today, and in my notes I titled it, “Do not eat leavened bread during the Passover meal.”

109. Rambam has, “Destroy all leaven on 14th day of Nisan.”

“‘Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. Indeed on the first day you cause leaven to cease from your houses. For whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that being shall be cut off from Yisra’ĕl (Israel).” (Exodus 12:15)

During Passover, before the meal takes place, we are to have all leaven out from our houses. This falls under love Elohim, can be fulfilled today, and in my notes I titled it, “Get rid of leaven on Passover, before the meal.”

110. Rambam has, “Do not eat leaven all seven days of Passover.”

“And Mosheh (Moses) said to the people, “Remember this day in which you went out of Mitsrayim (Egypt), out of the house of slavery. For by strength of hand יהוה brought you out of this place, and whatever is leavened shall not be eaten.” (Exodus 13:3)

During the feast of unleavened bread, Matzot, as you may have guessed we do not eat any leaven. This falls under love Elohim, can be fulfilled today, and I titled it in my notes as, “Do not eat leaven during the festival of Matzot.”

111. Rambam has, “Do not eat mixtures containing leaven all seven days of Passover.”

Do not eat that which is leavened – in all your dwellings you are to eat unleavened bread.” (Exodus 20:12)

Make sure you do not eat anything with leaven, bread or not. This falls under love Elohim, can be fulfilled today, and I titled it in my notes, “Same as number 110.”

112. Rambam has, “Do not see leaven in your domain seven days during Passover.”

“Unleavened bread is to be eaten the seven days, and whatever is leavened is not to be seen with you, and leaven is not to be seen with you within all your border.” (Exodus 13:7)

Not only are we to make sure leaven is not in our homes, but it should not be anywhere on our property. This falls under love Elohim, can be fulfilled today, and I titled it in my notes as, “During Matzot, leaven is not to be within your border.”

113. Rambam has, “Do not find leaven in your domain seven days during Passover.”

For seven days no leaven is to be found in your houses, for if anyone eats what is leavened, that same being shall be cut off from the congregation of Yisra’ĕl (Israel), whether sojourner or native of the land.” (Exodus 12:19)

Seems like a repeat of number 109.

114. Rambam has, “Eat unleavened bread on the first night of Passover.”

“‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the new moon, in the evening, you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the new moon in the evening.” (Exodus 12:18)

The actual commandment here is that we are to eat unleavened bread every day starting on Passover and through the end of the festival of Matzot. This falls under love Elohim, can be fulfilled today, and in my notes I titled it, “Eat unleavened bread everyday of Passover and Matzot.”

Well, that’s 10 minutes’ worth so I hope this study is a blessing to you, and I pray you continue to test all things including this, and may the Ruach Hakodesh lead you into truth.
